Automaker proton and wireless carrier yes,both based in malaysia,have announced therir collaboration to come up with a line of 4G-connected cars.Apard in providing a WIFI hostspot for pessenger teh project aims to utilize the 4G connectivity for multiple automotive-related applications such as vehicle diagnostics,security,and GPS.
Yes is Malaysia'sleading wireless provider,covering over 65 percent of the country as well the woll 960 kilometers of its north-south expressway and a"large"of its east-coast expressway.We are not sure how these vehicles become 4G connected overseas.
Proton and yes claim the first vehicle developed from this 4G collaboration,the P3-21A sedan,will be aviable soon.
